Film producer Karan Ramsay had dragged Devgan to high court alleging copyright infringement. Ramsay had claimed that the script of Devgan's film was similar to that of Uncle Samjha Karo, the film Ramsay is producing. Refusing to grant an interim stay on the release of All The Best, Justice S C Dharmadhiraki said that no material was produced to show that scripts of both the films were similar. Ramsay had claimed in his petition that he had the copyright of Uncle Samjha Karo from scriptwriter Paritosh Painter in 2006, who sold the same script to Devgan Films. Ramsay contended that this was a copyright infringement. Refuting Ramsay's allegations, Devgan's counsels said All the Best is based on a US play Right Bed, Wrong Husband and that Devgan Films purchased the script rights from author Samuel French.

MTV’s about constant change and the balls to throw it all away and make it new and important again. Saturday was Diwali and normally films show drops in collections but All The Best was better on Saturday than Friday. This made it pretty obvious that Sunday would show a big jump and that it is what happened and the film had a huge Sunday. The approx breakdowns for the weekend are 1.75 crore nett for Friday, 2.25 crore nett for Saturday and 5.50 crore nett for Sunday taking its total to 9.50 crore nett for the weekend. Monday being a holiday the film could add another 5-6 crore nett giving it around 15 crore nett over the extended weekend.

Now Vipul is hoping that a controversy breaks up for his film that will help him in good stead! He says, "I am controversy's child. Both my earlier projects, Singh Is Kinng and Namastey London, were embroiled in some problem or the other - from the way the characters were depicted or occurrences during the shoot. I hope someone finds something amiss in London Dreams and raises a voice. That will serve my purpose!" he grins. Though the censors raised an objection to the reciting of the Hanuman Chalisa during a rock concert in the film's promos, things have now been sorted out. It is learnt that as Salman and Ajay have been promoting their movies (Main Aurr Mrs Khanna and All The Best) in a big way having them in the media glare again from next week for London Dreams would definitely be overkill. "That's true," admits Vipul. "They have appeared in several shows on TV as well as several events to promote their films. We're now left planning a distinct promotional strategy." He continues, "Thank-fully the subjects of their films are different from London Dreams. But I can't do the same stuff the actors did for the promotions of their films." Among the ideas being tossed around, are having music concerts featuring the stars. "As the film is about rock musicians, it goes well. But we have not decided the logistics of it yet. It is only when I meet both Ajay and Salman that I will decide. They too should be comfortable going live." Apart from that, Vipul is also hoping that the Sallu-Ajay pairing (last seen 10 years ago in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) and Asin's next release after Ghajini (almost a year later) will help lure in the audience. "I am also directing a film after over two-and-a-half years," he says. So there is still something to look forward to, for the audience."

The UK schedule of the film saw quite a lot of excitement especially when an important sequence featuring Salman and Ajay was being shot at the Southbank in London. The Hollywood biggie, Taken, toplining Liam Neeson, was premiering at the BFI closeby. Much to the crew’s amusement, there was a bigger turnout to see the Bolly stars than the Hollywood premiere! This seemingly made Liam Neeson himself walk over to the shoot to see what the fuss was all about. Upon realising that a huge Bollywood film was being shot he made a quiet exit to his premiere. Said Vipul: "Salman, Ajay and I didn't end up meeting him, as we were busy with the shoot, but some members of our crew went up to him. He was very interested in knowing how Bollywood films were made."

The d-day is fast approaching and Telly Buzz has got word that it's going to be a rocking grand finale on L'il Champs. According to our source, "The show is going to be heavily studded with stars. Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Asin Thottumkal will be the special guests at the grand finale scheduled to take place on 24th October. Apparently, the three Bollywood stars have already met up with the three finalists - Hemant Brijwasi, Shreyasi Bhattacharjee and Yatharth Ratnum. The actors interacted with them, congratulated them for their performances so far and wished them luck for the finale." Adds the source, "Two famous leading ladies of Zee TV, Ankita Lokhande and Rubina Dilaik from popular daily soaps Pavitra Rishta and Chhoti Bahu respectively, will also be there to cheer the finalists. They will also be performing to famous Bollywood numbers as part of the entertainment program that has been lined up." When questioned who will do Shahid's part in the song, Ankita says, "I'm doing a solo with this one. So no male partner (laughs)." Rubina too is excited about her performance and at the same time nervous. She says, "I'm doing a medley and till now I've practiced only for the first song Aaja Nachle. I'm not very sure about the costume as well as the fact whether audiences will like my performance or not!" In addition to all these, few of the singers from Zee TV's upcoming show, SaReGaMaPa Mega Challenge which will replace L'il Champs, will also be seen giving awesome performances on stage.
